Sarra Engineering was established in 1953 and has been in business for over 60 years. After flying as a navigator during WWII, Frank Sarra Sr. obtained his professional engineering license in Mechanical Engineering. Eventually he started Sarra Engineering in 1953. His son, Frank Sarra Jr., then took over the helm as owner of Sarra Engineering in 1991 after working several years under his father and gaining his Master Mechanical Pipefitter License in the state of RI. Frank Sarra Jr. grew the company to a full service mechanical contractor with such specialties as rigging, hauling, steel fabrication, demolition, and small general construction services in just a few short years. Sarra Engineering is now a multi-million dollar company working for such clients as Brown University, Providence College, and Broadrock Power. In the words of Frank Sarra Jr., "We are a small business contractor who can do big things." The company and those who work for it are considered by those in the business as some of the most reputable, respectable, and honest people around.
